The Diocese of Grand Rapids is hosting "Into the Mystery: A Day of Eucharistic Renewal, Unity and Adventure" on Saturday, June 10.

The daylong activity, running from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., will be a mini-Eucharistic Congress. Events will include a Mass, several engaging speakers and various activities, according to the Diocese of Grand Rapids.

“I invite you to join me for ‘Into the Mystery,’ a special event coming up on June 10 in our diocese,” Bishop David Walkowiak said on the website. “It will be held at the Sturrus Sports and Fitness Center on the campus of Aquinas College from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This event will help move us into the parish year of the National Eucharistic Revival.”

Walkowiak will celebrate the day’s Mass, and Father Jonathan Kelly, rector of St. John Vianney College Seminary in the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis, will deliver the morning talk. That will be followed by an afternoon presentation featuring Meg Hunter-Kilmer, a missionary and storyteller who has traveled around the world and enlightened people about the love of God. Attendees will also have the chance to receive confession, explore the Vatican exhibit of Eucharistic Miracles and partake in other festivities, according to the Diocese of Grand Rapids.

The registration fee for the event is $10 per person or $40 per family. The fee covers lunch. After the event, a festival will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., featuring live music, food and beer. Attendance at the festival is optional, and it is open to all who wish to participate.

"But it is not enough for us to only enter this mystery once a week," Walkowiak wrote in a letter. "We must continue to enter into it to renew our belief in Christ’s real presence and seize the adventure that arises from an encounter with Him."
