Divine Mercy Parish in Manistee shared a reflection on the 31st Sunday from the school’s principal.

“On Thursday, October 22nd, we held a panel and small-group discussion on discipleship — in honor of St. Pope John Paul II’s Feast Day. St JPII helps point us to our Savior,” Jeremie Solak wrote in the bulletin.

John Paul’s play, The Jeweler Shop calls us to return to “the stars, let us return to love.”

He constantly wrote about how we as people are thirsty for love of God, family and friendship. God calls us to not be afraid of anything. Not of truth or love, or of darkness.

“And in the darkness a star out of the East guided three wise men to the Christ Child who died so that we would not be separated from his love,” Solak wrote.

Finally, he shared a link to some of the saint’s best quotes on love and marriage and family, in remembrance of the great work he did.
