Our Lady of Sorrows - Farmington issued the following announcement on Oct. 26.
Sunday, Nov. 1, the 11th Annual Rake & Run from 12:30-4 p.m. Open to all parishioners—singles, families, seniors, Jr. High and High School Ministries meet at Sorrows in the Family Center @ 12:30 p.m., pray, set the tone for the day and get our raking orders and respective assignments. We head out to rake the lawns of parish seniors and the disabled, bagging and dragging ‘em to the curb. Families must register with Marilyn to let her know you are coming. Young people in junior high or high school need to come with their families or at least one parent driver and RSVP as well. Paperwork is available in the youth room, online on the youth group’s website, or in the wall cubby outside the school cafeteria outside the cafeteria door closest to the ramp.
RSVP but bring your paperwork the day of. NO CHIILI THIS YEAR – COVID! Service Hours for those who need them, but to qualify, you must be present from beginning, to end, especially for the wrap up talk! Bring a rake, gloves and brown leaf bags! For more info, call 248 536-1235. Day begins at the Family Center. This is a beautiful family event and a way to make a signature statement about the kind of parish family Our Lady of Sorrows is. Adults need Protecting God’s Children, high school teens need to have taken Called to Serve. We rake rain or shine! Dress for the weather!
