Unite Our Nation comes to Detroit next month for a multiple-stage Eucharistic Procession on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Unite Our Nation is a nonpartisan organization founded to “help bring peace and prayer to local communities, and healing to our nation,” according to the organization’s website.

The Detroit event will start at Our Lady of the Rosary (5930 Woodward Ave.), with confessions, adoration and a priestly exhortation. The procession will move to Sweetest Heart of Heart of Mary (440 Russell St.) for benediction and adoration. For Stage 2, the procession will move to St. Joseph Shrine (1828 Jay St.) for a final benediction, the repose of the Blessed Sacrament and an inspirational speaker.

At the end of the procession, shuttles will be available to take participants back to Sweetest Heart of Mary and Our Lady of Rosary.

The day will include many other opportunities for worship, including recitation of the patriotic rosary.

Organizers ask that attendees do not wear clothing with political or campaign statements and refrain from bringing political signs to the event, as the event is non-political.

This event is sponsored by Invictus Christus, Catholic Men United and Men of Christ.

This grassroots movement offers an opportunity to come together in Christian solidarity to pray, adore and for public reparation.

The organization also works on college campuses across the country, and thousands of citizens attended a procession in Madison after the riots there this year.

Individuals interested in arranging events of their own are encouraged to visit the Unite Our Nation website and click the the Mission page link to download their playbook and check out their resources.
