Bishop Earl Boyea took to YouTube to address the seven sacraments and their spiritual significance.

"Even being a priest, I am always astounded by this grant of forgiving authority to human beings," Boyea said on YouTube about the sacrament of penance.

He said that forgiveness was the principal teaching of Jesus’ ministry on Earth, and that he came so that we would be forgiven.

Boyea said that to be reconciled with God, we must be free of all that has gotten in the way on YouTube. This includes “all of the negative choices we have made which have been contrary to real love.”

He went on to say that in Jesus' acts of healing, he spoke words of forgiveness to help to cure people of infirmaries, such as the paralytic man in Capernaum.

Boyea said that Jesus’ priority was the forgiveness of sins, with physical healing occurring as a result.

He also extended these “keys of heaven” to all of the apostles to become united with the Father.
