Right to Life Michigan is proud to announce that Laura Durocher is its 2020 Outstanding Pro-life Youth Award recipient for Grand Traverse area.

Durocher is the president of the Teens for Life club in her high school, according to Right to Life.

Highly involved in the promotion of the pro-life movement, she participates in the National Pro-life Sidewalk Chalk Day and Pro-life Social Media Day and attended the Right to Life of Michigan’s Legislative Day, in addition to Grand Traverse Right to Life’s Focus on Life Dinner.  

It is Durocher’s intention to continue in her life mission as she moves to college. 

In her essay, Laura presented compelling words for those who have no voice to represent themselves. 

“I believe that the best way to inspire and promote a positive pro-life message is to simply be prolife in absolutely every single thing that we do,” Laura wrote. “As cliché as the age-old saying is, actions really do speak louder than words. No matter our age, status, or ability, as the next generation, we have a duty to defend life and express to others the sacred beauty of it.”
